Konstantin Chaus is a registered patent attorney, he focuses his practice on the strategic preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents in the bio-medical, computer science, electrical and mechanical engineering fields. In particular, he works with inventors, drafts patent applications, analyzes and responds to office actions, conducts interviews with examiners, and analyzes file histories for compliance with all United States Patent and Trademark Office rules and regulations.
Konstantin has experience in wide range of technologies covering the mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, bio-medical and computer fields, including significant experience with cellular technologies, such as LTE and legacy networks, mobile communication devices, cellular base stations, encryption and modulation, cloud computing, computer vision systems, 3D modeling, computer software related technologies, power electronics, automation systems, distance measuring devices, and medical devices.
Prior to his legal career, was a project engineer for a bridge crane and hoists company, where he extensively used CAD and CAE software to draft design arrangements for a wide variety of custom jobs. Konstantin also provided on-site analysis, reviewed specifications and computed calculations to ensure design safety and OSHA compliance.
Konstantin completed his studies at the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering. His concentration during his graduate studies was in CAD/CAM/CAE, mechanisms and control.
