Mr. Reiner’s patent prosecution and counseling practice has involved such diversified technologies as radiological protection systems, biochemical sensors, drug containers and delivery devices, automotive engines and transmissions, surgical catheters, internet data transmission technologies, wireless devices, communication and device control, consumer hygiene goods, laser drilling systems, internet billing and payment systems, sewage and waste processing systems, garment and clothing technologies, optical analysis systems, diamond inscribing technologies, casting and metallurgical processes, scientific and industrial centrifuges, dental surgery and implant technologies, lumber and paper products, herbicidal compositions, metal alloys and composite materials, printing and embossing equipment, construction equipment and tools, industrial braiding technologies, and internet marketing systems.
Mr. Reiner has extensive litigation experience in patent, trademark, trade dress, copyright, trade secret and false advertising cases, from pre-filing investigation through trial and appeal. He has first- and second-chaired a number of trials and hearings in federal courts throughout the United States. Representative technologies include medical devices and equipment, LCD and plasma displays, cellular communications, and pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Reiner has authored papers and presented seminars on a variety of intellectual property topics. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts. He has engineering degrees in mechanical engineering and materials engineering.
