Mr. Schlier is a litigator, schooled in engineering, who focuses on products liability, intellectual property, and commercial litigation. Most recently, Mr. Schlier has been involved in representing a biopharmaceutical company in their billion-dollar suit for misappropriation of trade secrets. He has also assisted in the defense of major pharmaceutical companies in numerous product liability lawsuits.
Mr. Schlier has significant experience handling key phases of the litigation process including taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, and engaging in all aspects of Electronic Discovery. His considerable Electronic Discovery experience includes: managing and coordinating document review and production projects of up to 75 attorneys in size; developing document collection and review strategies and protocols; identifying and solving inefficiencies and other problems with ongoing review projects; liaising with clients, counsel and vendors; and preparing witnesses for depositions and trials.
While at Drexel University, Mr. Schlier majored in Materials Science and Engineering. In research and industry, he specialized in nanotechnology, advanced ceramics, energy, and metallurgy. Mr. Schlier leverages this background to help clients whose legal issues require a thorough understanding of the underlying technologies involved.
Mr. Schlier is a member of the Pennsylvania bar. He volunteers for Philadelphia VIP, an organization which provides a full range of free legal services to local low-income residents.
