Alexandra Joyce focuses her practice on a variety of issues arising in complex commercial litigation. Active in both state and federal courts, she has assisted litigation teams asserting unfair trade practice claims, litigating insurance coverage disputes, and serving as local counsel in patent disputes, including Hatch-Waxman infringement suits, among other matters.

Prior to joining McCarter & English, Alexandra served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable John A. Parkins, Jr., of the Delaware Superior Court. During law school, through the prestigious Josiah Oliver Wolcott Fellowship, Alexandra served as a judicial clerk for Chief Justice Leo E. Strine, Jr. of the Supreme Court of Delaware.

Alexandra graduated cum laude from Widener University Delaware Law School, and received her B.S. summa cum laude from Wilmington University.

An advocate for disability rights, Alexandra currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Canine Partners for Life, a non-profit organization that trains service dogs for people with disabilities.
